Why is it the HOLIDAY season always seems to make us all edgy ? What happened to peace, joy and happiness? Oh right- it went out the window when we realized how much it was gonna cost this year......Why do we have double sided Christmas wrap paper? I mean REALLY, you picked it out because you liked THAT pattern, so are you REALLY going to use the other pattern? If you're matching your wrap for under the tree it's doubtful....
Why do we only REALLY go all out on cooking from November to January? Why can't we do that for our families EVERY month. You know, a once a month all the family get together? Why do we wait to get together til 1 or 2 days a year???
Why does it seem to be worth the 2 month hunt to find the gifts, but then it seems to take FOREVER to wrap them all, and only 10 seconds to remove every inch of wrapping paper from said gifts?
As I heard on the radio today- why is it the SAME stupid appliance we would never buy for someone's birthday, but come Christmas when we can't find them a gift, it looks superb??? If Christmas is such a peace, love and joy holiday WHY do we have Thanksgiving ahead of it, which makes it less than a month long? Shouldn't we MOVE Thanksgiving to like August, so we can start celebrating it, then go into Halloween, then swap out all the decorations and celebrate the Christmas season for 2 whole MONTHS. Doesn't that sound nice and lovely?????
AND we'd get to sing Christmas songs for TWO months too! SEE it's a good thought!
AND MAYBE then everybody would be less edgy! See, you knew I'd come back around to the first sentence :)
