Giveaway/ CLOSED/ Product Review: Piggy Paint

I keep hearing about a nail polish product, Piggy Paint, that is natural and for kids- it is water based and has no harsh acetone or acetate, so it's safe for kid friendly chewing on the nails, and I tried to win some on different blogs to no avail.

I had decided I was going to go ahead and order some and save it for Valentine's present for darling daughter, when I got an offer from Laurie, via Product Review Place, to try it and review it for myself! I was over the moon, as was my daughter!

We got the package between Christmas and New Year's, but didn't have time to sit down and try it out. New Year's day I decided while on rest stop in between cooking to try it out on a nail real quick. I painted ONE nail with ONE coat and blew dry humanly (as I didn't have time to go up and get the blow dryer!). The paint was tack dry within 40 seconds and totally dry within about 90 seconds. Pretty good in my book! With cooking/washing dishes the rest of the afternoon, and working that night and the next, the paint lasted pretty well, as you can see form the picture. Daughter thought it was neato and kept having to show my thumb to everybody that came by (thus, reminding me that I used to wear polish alot, but not so much once she started WALKING and who has time to put it on and let it DRY with a toddler around???).

Two days later we tried it out on daughter.As you can see she was tickled purple to have it on. The Girls Rule Color is fun and girly, but also suitable for Mom, in case darling daughter(s) decide Mom needs to have some on too! We went with the preferred way to apply the polish and it worked much better (and yes, Virginia, that IS a Wiggles band-aid- Santa brought darling daughter TWO boxes for Christmas and they are good for her 'imaginary bobos' only.....go figure):

• Wash hands with soap and water.
• Apply 2 -3 thin coats of Piggy Paint™.
• Air dry 60 seconds.
• Blow dry polished nails for 1 minute with hair dryer set on warm heat/low blower setting (ADULTS only on the blow dryer please). As Piggy Paint is water-based and does not contain harsh chemicals, it takes longer for its ultimate hardness to be reached. The blow dryer just speeds up this process.Since most young children are squirmy during the drying process, we suggest singing two rounds of the “ABC’s” which should make 60 seconds pass by very quickly. (we needed 2 absc, 2 itty bitty spiders, and 2 twinkles, as she speed sings!)
  

The Piggy Paint Nail Polish remover that was also sent to us is also acetone FREE and low-smell. It has aloe vera and Vitamin E, so it soothes nails as it removes the polish! It later removed the polish without a problem!
