PIP: Product Review/ CLOSED/Giveaway: Mudpuppy Number Ring Flashcard

I was introduced to the Mudpuppy brand when we bought one of their excellent kids puzzles (see my earlier post). I wanted to share my love for the company with you and Mudpuppy agreed!

Mudpuppy sent me this adorable set of Ring Flash Cards to review. You count your way through nature! The flash cards feature the numbers from one to ten as well as basic addition and subtraction. The front of each card shows the objects to be counted, added or subtracted, and the back of the card shows the answer in numeric, written, and visual form.The 26 cards are on a ring that can be opened, cards taken off to use flat, and then put back on at the end of the day!

My daughter immediately had to open the package (with help from Mom) and set about counting to 10 with the cards, like she was a math major! I was amazed that she instantly got the basic addition cards due to the pictures and proceeded to count (add) the next set without any problem. When she go to the subtraction cards she got stumped, as taking away we haven't worked on yet. She loves that they are on the ring and she can flip them at her own rate and they have become a prized 'toy' of hers! I love them as they are so portable- I can hook them on my purse and take them with us to the doctor's office, to provide some quality waiting time lessons!

After the Easter Egg hunt, where she received a few bookmark rulers, she also discovered that the cards are easy to measure (with Mom's help), and thus adding another math lesson to the equation (pun intended)!

Mudpuppy also has the ring style flash cards in the Alphabet, nature items, things that go, rhyming, opposites, under the sea and into space, for fun learning of objects. They also have 2 language sets- French/English and Spanish/English. they would be a great way to introduce a new language to your child, in simple words!
