Sometimes when I get my book club mailings, i get some really cool info out of some of the books the are showcasing!
Case in point (please pardon the pun!), is Joey Green's Cleaning Magic book- all 3 books clubs had different hints and tips from 2300 in the book, so I thought I'd share some with you!

- BBQ PREP- rub the bottom of your pot or pan with a bar of Ivory soap, before placing on your BBQ grill- the film makes cleaning later a snap
- BLINDS- remove dust from settling on blinds by soaking in Downy Fabric Softener, after cleaning in the tub and hanging back up
- BROKEN GLASS- press a piece of Wonder bread to over the floor, to pick up the small shards of glass, juts pick up and toss
- CAR DASHBOARD- shine it with a clean, unused sheet of Bounce dryer sheet. The anti-static elements will help expel dust from the dustboard
- CHALK- remove from fabric with Smirnoff vodka
- DOG HAIR- Prevent clogged drains when bathing a dog. You just place a ball made from an S.O.S steel wool soap pad in the drain opening to catch stray hairs.
- FAUCETS- to remove soap scum from faucets, clean with Reynolds Wrap foil
- GARDENING EDUCATION- grow sprouts in JELLO and have an instant science experiment that's fun for kids (ok, so it's not really cleaning, but a good way to use that expired Jello you have in the cabinet!)
- IRON- wipe the gunk off the bottom of an iron with Purell hand sanitizer
- WINDSHIELD- squeegee off bugs with Dr Pepper
- WOOD FLOORS- Cold Nestea makes an excellent cleaning agent for wood floors and furniture
- WOOLENS- add a few drops of PantenePro-V Silkening Silk Transformation Creme to the final hand rinse to keep woolens soft
