I had told you about the book I Used to Know That, late last year, when she gave us some great history lessons about Christmas. Well the author is back with another great resource that you'll want to read!

    * Latin and Greek words used in English- How many times do you use alibi, bona fide, etc, per capita, status quo, vice versa? All Latin words still in use today, but do you really know what they mean?
    * Classical literature, mythology, and philosophy- you probably remember Homer, what about Aesop and Cicero? Remember your Greek numbers? If you were in a fraternity or sorority you probably do!
    * Ancient Greek and Roman history- was the city of Troy real? Do you remember what caused the downfall of the Roman empire?

Caroline Taggart has been an editor of non-fiction books for nearly 30 years and has covered nearly every subject from natural history and business to gardening and astronomy. She has written several books.

Review: This is the PERFECT desk top reference for all things Greek and Roman!  If you have a child in High School or going off to college- get them this book. They'll love you for it! I had 2 courses of World Civ in college and 1 in High School, and I didn't remember even half of what was in the book! I am definitely keeping this handy on the bookshelf for when daughter has homework she needs help with! Also handy for book reports! It's small (under 170 pages) and inexpensive, making it a great gift!
