Bryan Premium Smoked Sausage adds a flavorful punch to big-dish recipes, like Bryan Premium Smoked Sausage-n-Dirty Rice, goes well with Sothern-style breakfast dishes, and is perfect for grilling with its thin diameter.

Bryan Foods Premium Smoked Sausage -n- Dirty Rice
Serves four.

Ingredients
1 package Bryan Foods Hot and Spicy Smoked Sausage (or original if your taste buds prefer)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 white or yellow onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning powder
2 cups uncooked long grain white rice
4 cups chicken stock
1 scallion, chopped
hot sauce, optional
Note: If you live in the south, you can substitute a cup of holy trinity for the celery, onion and green peppers.

1) Remove Bryan Foods Hot and Spicy Smoked Sausage from package and cut into 1/2-inch thick diagonal slices.

2) Heat oil in a heavy skillet pan over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook 4 minutes per side. Sausage should be lightly browned.

3) Add onion, celery, and green bell pepper, and cook, stirring until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and seasoning powder and cook 1 minute longer.

4) Add rice and stock. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and cover pan. Simmer until all the stock is absorbed into the rice, about 20 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve sprinkled with scallion and hot sauce, if you prefer.

We tried the Original Smoked Sausage and made kiddo some Sausage Crescent Dogs, as she was having a hankering for them! It was great to be able to cut the length we wanted to go in the larger crescents, and be able to cut one into 2 for kiddo. We all loved the flavor, and we're big sausage eaters, having lived in Minnesota! We're definitely adding Bryan to our listed of sausages we buy!

Want to try them for yourself? Bryan has graciously offered TWO of my readers coupons to try Bryan Sausage for FREE! Yippee! We can all use free food this time of year, and the new Bryan Sausage is the king of versatility!
