Product Review and Giveaway: Carmex Ultra Moisturizing Lip Balms

As a Carmex Blog Squad Member I am always excited to see a box from Carmex arrive on my doorstep!


WHY?


Because Carmex has been our go-to brand of lip balm in our house for most of my life! Now with their new Ultra Moisturizing Lip Balms, they are part of my daughter's life as well!

Carmex sent us 2 new click stick lip balms to try- Lime Twist and Vanilla. Take a guess who snagged the Lime Twist! Yup the same 4 year old that was singing "you put the lime in the coconut" over and over 15 minutes before the package arrived! That left MOM with the Vanilla. Which of course I prefer, so we were good! I love that Carmex has flavors that appeal to Kiddo- it's much easier to get her to use lip balm (which has sunscreen spf of 15) when we're out and about, if she LIKES it!


Did you know that lips get chapped because they’re too dry, usually because of exposure to the elements? The usual suspects: dry air, wind, sun, cold temperatures and even dust, all can cause problems. With menthol and camphor to relieve pain and help the healing, you know Carmex will get to work right away, is your lips DO get chapped!


If you use the lip balms whenever you go out, you will find your lips are super soft! The balms are SO moisturizing due to lanolin, cocoa butter, beeswax, and meadowfoam oil. I always keep one of their excellent Moisture Plus extra hydrating Sheer Balms in my purse. There are a super alternative to heavy lipstick during our heavy humid summer heat!  AND Bonus! Carmex sent another clear one in the gift pack, so woo-hoo, one to leave in my work bag too!

The best part of the package according to Kiddo was the picnic blanket! The child has a serious fixation with blankets-I'm not kidding, she has 4 baby blankets, 2 throw blankets and an afghan downstairs alone! So when she saw that the bag was really a folded up blanket, she was super excited. Then when I explained we could keep it in the car for spur of the moment picnics (and pretty soon the pumpkin patch!), she was over the moon! It's a really great design, as you can see and I love it as much as she does!
