Synopsis:
“The King has come! Even for a little one like me.”

Do you ever feel like you are too small or too ordinary? That is just how Itsy and Bitsy feel. When these two charming little mice hear that a King is coming to Bethlehem, they set off with great enthusiasm to find Him. Along the way, they are met with discouraging words telling them they are too little and unimportant for any king. Just when Itsy and Bitsy begin to believe that they really aren’t big enough for the new King, they learn that Christ the King has indeed come for everyone.
Crafted by master storyteller Max Lucado, Itsy Bitsy Christmas helps children understand God’s great love and know that He sent His Son for all of us—little or big, young or old.

Review: Aimed at kids ages 4-7, this is a gorgeously illustrated book that your children will LOVE! All children LOVE farm animals it seems, and using 2 little mice to show small children that no matter how small they are equally as special and important t God, via the Christmas story, is a way to keep them enraptured in the tale! Miss Grace and I read the book together, then she read it to me, adding in plenty of asides, and then she had to look at it again, before we could put it down! Yup, she loved it! This book will remain in our holiday section, and be part of a new pre- Christmas reading tradition for us, I'm sure!

You can check out some sample pages, to see how lovely the book is! And to make the reading even more special, Tommy nelson is offering some special coloring sheets to go along with the booK!

About the Author: In just under two decades of writing, Max Lucado has accomplished more than most writers hope for in a lifetime. Most of his books have appeared on one or more best seller lists, including those published by the "New York Times," "USA Today," "Publishers Weekly," and the Christian Booksellers Association (CBA). Aside from hardcover books, Lucado's writings have also been published as children's books, videos, CD-ROMs, DVDs, music CDs, mass paperback booklets, apparel, giftware, bookmarks, calendars, study Bibles, workbooks, curricula, and plush products.

In spring 2003, Hallmark/Dayspring Cards launched a new gift card line featuring excerpts from Lucado's writings--and has already sold more than one million cards. He ministers at the Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas, where he lives with his wife, Denalyn, and a sweet but misbehaving mutt, Andy.

About the Illustrator: Bruno Merz is an exciting new illustrator who captures the characters in this story perfectly. He has worked as a greetings card artist and has illustrated 3 children's books, prior to this one.

  1. We usually go to a late church service. If they don't fall asleep at church, they usually fall asleep on the ride home.

  14. I think the one of the best memories was when I was driving all the 4 grandkids to my uncle's for Christmas Party and I bought them all Duke toboggans. They all fit in the back seat of my car nicely, with their heads bobbin up and down with those hats. That was a special memory when most of my Mom's family were all together and happy, we've lost a few since then and some are not quite distant.
