Children's Book Review: NCV Bible in a Year Review and Giveaway

This week we have many posts about faith and faith based books- just call it theme week!

Up first, a bible that is perfect for your kids, and for at home bible study as a family!

NCV Bible in a Year cover

Synopsis

For kids ages 8-12, this is a the first full-text Bible that helps kids read through the Bible in one year, with Scriptures from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs each day. This New Century Version is a 5th grade reading level, and a great way for kids to spend more time in the Word! The bible includes 16 pages of full-color inserts with presentation and personalization pages, maps, memory verses, dictionary/concordance, and special articles for Bible application

Review:

This is a lovely bible and one that most kids will easily grasp and want to look thru the inserts immediately and then start quoting off items to you (like Miss Grace did)! The book itself has a nice weight, but it is definitely an at home bible, due to the weight and size (and most Christian schools require NKJ versions). However it is perfect for at home family bible study with your children, as the daily study's really will only take about a half hour- the perfect time period to keep your kids attention! It would also be great for bible study classes at Sunday school.

Our pastor has called for families to read the bible in a year?
Has yours? This would be a great gift for your children, that will keep on giving!

Be sure to come back on the 11th, as I'll have a bible workbook, that would be great to go along with this new bible, for at home bible study!

  4. I've been trying to read the Bible in a year and I am currently about a month behind. It seems like this time of year is so busy that is why I got behind. I'm still at a point where I have read more of the Bible than in all my life put together so I am thankful for that.
