Touchdown Charlie Brown! cover

Synopsis:

This football-inspired title is comprised of the re-mastered, animated TV special, It’s Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown, in which the Peanuts gang celebrate homecoming, plus three football-themed episodes of The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show. for nearly two-hours of Peanuts and football fun!

In It’s Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown, it’s homecoming season at Charlie Brown’s school. The kids celebrate with a parade, a dance and most importantly, football!  The big game, which is refereed by Snoopy, draws many spectators. Charlie Brown is the team’s placekicker and Lucy is the placekick setter. The pressure to win is on but can Lucy control her urge to pull the ball away just as Charlie Brown is about to kick it? Or will she risk losing the game for a chance to humiliate him as she’s traditionally done in the past?

Good grief! As if the game wasn’t enough pressure, Linus and Charlie Brown are chosen as escorts for the homecoming queen and her court. Charlie Brown is asked to escort the queen, which happens to be none other than the elusive, little red-haired girl, whom Charlie Brown has been pining for all his life. In spite of his trembling from nervousness, he escorts her to the dance floor and somehow summons up the courage to kiss her on the cheek. This kiss is electrifying. However, from that moment forward, everything becomes a complete blur for Charlie Brown. He wakes the next morning having no memory of anything that happened.

Review:

We LOVE anything with the Peanuts gang, so I wasn't surprised when Miss Grace grabbed the video from the envelope and ran to the dvd player with it! It's great to know that my kid loves the old cartoons- at least I've seen them all, know they're ok for her to watch, WITHOUT constant supervision by me! These days, that is something to be thankful for! And since the Peanuts cartoons always feature classical music, the cartoons are semi-educational as well- not to mention there is always moral to the story! And with the big game tomorrow, this release is very timely release and one that the younger crowd will love! The entire video runs for 92 minutes.

Want to make it a Super Peanuts themed party for the younger kids?
