Review:
The crime writer character, Erica, from Ice Princess, is back, and happily married to Patrik in this 5th book of the series. In reading this book, it helps to remember that it is translated, and occasionally you sense a nuance might have been lost in a description, and secondly that because it is set in Sweden, the culture is different. A father taking paternity leave AFTER his wife has already taken hers? Right, not here in the US. Once you get past those little things, this book turns out to be a taught psychological police procedural. You may THINK you know who did the crime, but you might not! She also teaches the reader a lesson in thinking we know about our parents, and what parents shield their children from. Lackberg gives us a twisty turvy ride back in time, to a different era and time, most Americans are not aware of that took place in the Northern isles. If you love a good mystery, you will adore this book!

The book is being made into a movie in Sweden- check out the fast paced trailer!
