Synopsis:

Ten days after the Mexican presidential election, twenty-three bodies are discovered beheaded on the border between the U.S. and Mexico. Leading the investigation for the Mexican intelligence agency is Cecilia Garza, a raven-haired beauty who’s notorious for her intensity and take-no-prisoners demeanor. Upon the bodies of the cartel’s victims she finds a carved symbol—a Hummingbird—and recognizes it as the mark of an assassin known only as Chuparosa. Garza learns he’s now headed to New York. Meanwhile, in Manhattan and a grieving Jeremy Fisk is brought in to investigate a mass murder in nearby Rockaway, where a dozen people have been found dead.  Fisk and Garza may butt heads, but they’re going to need each other if they stand a chance of finding and stopping Chuparosa. Soon they both realize that there’s more to this threat than meets the eye—and Fisk will have to learn the hard way that justice is not always blind.

Review:

Dick Wolf creator of the long running “Law and Order” TV series has hit another home run with his new book “The Execution”. His NYPD detective Jeremy Fisk is being put to the test again. Follow him as he first tries to stop another Islamic cell from Sweden coming across the Canadian border. See how his fellow crusaders are killed and how Jeremy puts an end to this raid.

While Jeremy is cleaning up his latest mess, in Mexico a drug cartel hit man that goes by the name of Chuparosa is carrying out a deadly game in a small town to demonstrate his power to keep people quite. As the local bought and paid for police arrive at this gruesome crime scene the federal police are also arriving. The senior officer of this group is a no nonsense female by the name of Cecilia Garza.

Follow this awesome story and find out how the paths of Jeremy and Cecilia cross while one is protecting the president of Mexico and the other is protecting the people of New York City and a gathering of officials from around the world for United Nations day. Cecilia and Jeremy will not see eye to eye at first but will come together to stop the villain from Mexico and also learn of another man that claims to be an informant from Mexico living in New York.

You will not be able to put this book down once you start. Just when you think you pretty much have it figured out, something else will be thrown into the mix. Don’t pass up the chance to read this story, you will be glad you did.
