I was recently given the opportunity to review a great kid’s bible program that is perfect for a small Vacation Bible School program, Sunday School Curriculum, and even for those wishing a bible Homeschool Curriculum.

Sing God's Word, Psalms in Tune is from a name we all know- Godstruck Ministries (http://www.godstruckkids.com)!

Composed of 2 CDs and a Curriculum guide, the program is VERY easy to use! There are no complicated backdrops or hand motions to learn (the songs do have them, but they are very simple), no expensive accompanying pieces to church. The program offers a strong foundational program, that offers suggestions for activities and reading, along with the songs and episodes from the CDs, to provide a multi-media experience for kids! The lessons are all meant to confirm truths and how to apply them to their own lives. The program is aimed at preschool- to early elementary children. My First Study Bible: Exploring God's Word on My Own from Thomas Nelson publishing is recommended as a go-along for kids to the program, as well.

The episodes on the CDs feature kids talking to kids, so they engage your child, as they teach them bible verses and discuss the bible. The curriculum features 11 sections, enough for 11 weeks, or 11 days. Each of the 11 pages features seven components:

1. Key Scripture verse is given

2. Devotional theme

3. Needs- any material needed to fulfill the activity presented in the segment- all are easily obtained, and should be items you have on hand already. There are also games on the website
(http://godstruckkids.com/games), that you can use, if time allows.

4. Commentary- explanation of the lesson and activity and how to connect it with the theme and bible verse

5. Coloring Page- you actually download them from the website (http://www.godstruckkids.com/coloring-pages)

6. Supporting Bible passage- to help lend clarity to the lesson, the bible story that is associated with the theme, is offered, along with the page number to find in the recommended book.

7. Listen to The Song Again- why the song should be listened to again, after the lesson, to help reinforce what was learned

The devotional themes are ones that most kids can not only relate to, but need to hear. Examples are I Will Not Be Shaken, You Are There and He Restores My Soul. I loved the activity for You Are There, which used a balloon and air to teach kids how even though we can't see God, we know he is there. Sometime simple activities REALLY bring home the message better than complicated, flashy ones! It is always so nice to find Christian Kids’ Music that truly teaches the curriculum it is attached to! My daughter adored the songs and the episodes she listened to, in fact, she started telling me MORE bible stories that taught the
same message!

This is a very nice package, that together can cost your church less than a dinner for 4 at any fast food place! All the files can be downloaded, straight from the website, saving you time and money! And if you purchase any THREE products, you get 5% off! And the discounts go up from there, by how many products you buy! You just use the coupon codes found on the products page (expires July 1, 2014)! They also have a monthly newsletter, that has topics that nicely coincide with the program themes! You can sign up on their website for it!
