OK, so these products didn't come in in time for a Father's Day giveaway, though they made a great last minute present! So our last Father's Day giveaway is running today!

So many products (including movies!) from the 70s and 80s are making comebacks these days,
that sometimes it's hard to keep up!

I remember my uncles wearing British Sterling cologne, but my grandfathers and my Dad didn't.

Now British Sterling is making a new comeback with two fantastic blends -
H.I.M. Reserve and H.I.M. Private Stock:

As you can see, the blends are easily distinguished by different colored boxes!

You have to love the traditional flask looking containers, which are part of the original sales campaign from 1965: a print advertising campaign focused on unique jewelry store distribution, supporting sterling silver packaging – “So fine, it’s only sold in jewelry stores”. :

I know what you're thinking- HIM- for 'him', right?
Wrong!
H.I.M. is short for ‘His Imperial Majesty’ - in honor of King George VI, Queen Elizabeth's dad! You see, in 1947 he asked the Secret Intelligence Service (S.I.S.) to strengthen Britain’s image by making British Agents and Diplomats more masculine, confident, and influential. The subsequent training program developed was called “Project Sterling” and set out to improve intelligence, decision-making, personal values, and manners, of it's members, into a clear code of conduct to meet H.I.M.'s goal. You have to love a brand with that type of history!

The two new fragrances are:
British Sterling H.I.M. ‘Reserve’ -- a provocative oriental blend of Iced Ginger and Mandarin Orange, bold spices like Black Pepper and sensual resinous undertones from Tonka Bean, among other ingredients. It is stronger than the other cologne, and Dad said it is more of a night time/special occasion cologne to him. This one is more 'manly' to me, and I would list in on my favorite cologne scents!

British Sterling H.I.M. ‘Private Stock’ -- a light fresh blend of Juniper and Desert Lime, combined with crisp woodsy Cypress and Red Cedar, aromatic spices like incense, and rich undertones from Vetiver. It is a very CLEAN scent. Dad likes it for everyday wearing, and it seems to last most of the day on him. This cologne reminds me of a unisex cologne it's light enough that a woman could wear it (and I'm hearing that many are!).

The brand has a newly appointed spokesperson Brooke Sterling, is teaching men how to make #SterlingChoices in her first "instructional" video.  Check it out and come back to enter to win your own set of the 2 colognes for the lovely man in your life!

The new British Sterling colognes are available at Walmart, Kmart and Walgreens,
and retail for ONLY $24.99! Making them a great buy for any birthday, graduation, or even Christmas present (191 days left! LOL).
