If I say Hey Soul, Sister have you seen any Drops Of Jupiter ?
Calling All Angels”!

Will you know who I'm talking about?

Yeah!

Good news, they're BAAAACCCCKKKK:
In today's music scene of teen queens, rappers and music you don't want your kids listening to,
isn't it thrilling to know that you can count on Pat Monahan and the boys from Train,
to bring back music you can sing along to at the top of lungs (sorry kids, Mom's gonna rock out the school drop off line!?

The new album is being released on September 16th (but is available for pre-order on Amazon and  iTunes), and I was lucky enough (thanks to One2One) to be able to check it out before it's release!

And WOW- are you gonna WANT this album!!!!!!!!!!
How about a sneak look at the video for the first single, Angle in Blue Jeans, and one of my fav songs from the new album, before I share my thoughts on it?

Yup, that was Danny Trejo and Hannah Simone, along with the guys from Train!

There are 12 songs on the new album and after repeated (like non-stop) listening, I can tell you there isn't a bad song on the album! AT all! the boys show you WHY they are 8 time Grammy nominees, with 3 wins- they KNOW how to write a song! Pat says “I’ve always wanted to emotionally connect with people through the songs.”  "But I also want to get into people’s lives with this album. We’re very excited about Bulletproof Picasso and we’re looking forward to performing some of the new songs for all our fans (on the new tour).”

Tracks
1. Cadillac, Cadillac
2. Bulletproof Picasso
3. Angel In Blue Jeans
4. Give It All
5. Wonder What You're Doing For The Rest Of Your Life
6. Son Of A Prison Guard
7. Just A Memory
8. I'm Drinkin' Tonight
9. I Will Remember
10. The Bridge
11. Baby, Happy Birthday
12. Don't Grow Up So Fast

The songs on the album reach every emotion- love, loss, anger, joy, protectiveness,  grief, happiness. Pick an emotion and they have a song that applies! You will find yourself recalling memories as the songs unfold-the good, the bad, the wonderful. Wonder What You're Doing is probably going to be the wedding song of the year, for first dances! And if you have a daughter, Don't Grow Up So Fast will probably have you in tears by the time it ends! It is a loving tribute to wanting to keep our little girls young and carefree! This is an album that will hold up over time, and that you will leave in your car's rotation-it's as comfortable as your favorite jacket- it's been with you through everything and still survived! you will NOT want to let this one go!

But the title song is the one that will have you singing out loud with the car windows rolled down, with memories of a carefree Summer running through your head. Take a listen:

If you can get through even 2 songs without humming along or tapping your feet, you are unconscious! You just can't do it- the songs are SO infectious. Shhhh- I even caught Miss Grace singing along to "I Will Remember" ! Yup, if your 'adult' album can get the kids bopping along in the backseat, you know that's proof of it being 'bulletproof' (sorry, had to throw that pun in!).

Be sure to set the DVRS if you aren't going to be home tomorrow, September 5th, afternoon/evening too- Pat and the guys will be LIVE othe QVC channel, at 5pm ET!

Train will be live and in concert this Fall (woo-hoo a concert YOU want to go to!!!), with shows in Los Angeles, New York, and their hometown of San Francisco among locations. I can't wait to see them on this tour, the songs from this album are SO great! It seems so weird to think that I saw them almost 15 years ago for the first time. Time flies! The boys are also lining 2015 Summer festival dates too, including Red Rocks Ampitheatre in Denver, CO, Sturgis Buffalo Chip Bike Rally in Sturgis, SD and V Festival in the UK. The next few shows are:
9/17 Los Angeles, CA Pantages Theatre
9/18 Los Angeles, CA Pantages Theatre
9/21 San Francisco, CA The Masonic
9/22 San Francisco, CA The Masonic
9/25 New York, NY Radio City Music Hall
