Princess Cupcake Jones Won't Go To School cover

Synopsis:

Princess Cupcake Jones returns in the second book of the Princess Cupcake Jones Series. This modern day princess, who loves her tutu and playing with her toys, is about to begin school...but refuses to go! Cupcake tries everything to avoid her first day from pretending to be sick to even hiding! However, Mom stays one step ahead of her. Only after arriving at school and meeting a new friend does Cupcake realize that school might not be as scary as she thought.

Review:

Another adorable book from Ylleya! Cupcake has planned of ways to get out of going to school, but her mother has thwarted them! She washed her tutu, the doctor is on call for a shot! Oh dear! All due to being afraid of not knowing anyone! All kids have been there, and this is an adorable book, about having faith, and taking the leap, and you'll find your reward (in Cupcake's case, a new best friend!). This is an adorable book, and Miss Grace gives it a high five. So if your little one is still tentative about school, pick up this book and help them through their fear!

About the Author

Ylleya Fields is the mother of three beautiful children, two of whom are girls. Hunting for books to read to her eldest daughter when she was 2, Fields was struck by the small selection of titles featuring a African American character. Blending both of her daughters' images and personalities, Fields created Princess Cupcake Jones. This is her debut book, and the first book in the series. Several more books featuring this adorable young girl are currently in the works, so watch for more adventures starring Cupcake Jones.
