Synopsis:

Catherine O'Brien, the irreverent detective, is back in An Intimate Murder. When Jonathan and Susan Luther are murder in their home, St. Paul homicide detective Catherine O'Brien and her partner Louise discover this isn't the first time the Luther family has been visited by tragedy. Is it a case of bad family luck or is there something more?

Review:

This books picks up right after A Luring Murder. personally I love ti when authors do this- it allows for reader continuity and a more realistic feel for your characters! Catherine to be is a very realistic character, all the way around- she is low-key, a dedicated cop, a loving wife, and someone who exasperates her partner with her lack of tact. We know her- you might be her! So how she digs into a case makes sense and allows the reader to truly empathasize and understand her. This book has a really good play between the partners- showcasing each of their strengths and why they work well together. Add a solid little mystery, and you have a fun read, that is perfect for reading by the fire with a cup of coffee (I read it in one sitting!). Once you read one book, you'll get hooked on this series!
