Now that you've completed one Halloween costume/Christmas gift and are feeling pretty good about yourself, it's time for a cup of coffee and a pat on the back, right?

Well, let's make that coffee Fair Trade, and from a company who keeps giving back shall we?

I've talked to you about this wonderful organization for 4 years already (!!), and I'm thrilled to be to continue to share about them with you this year!

World Vision provides assistance to people in nearly 100 countries around the world, INCLUDING here in America. programs include Fight Poverty in America, Stock a School, Donate to Disaster Relief and Give Where It is Most Needed.  Last year, 83% of World Vision's total operating expenses were used for programs that benefit children, families and communities in need! That is a number that any organization could be more than proud of!

One of the ways World Vision raises those funds is through their annual World Vision Gift Catalog.

This is the 19th year of the World Vision Gift Catalog

This year the catalog has 100 meaningful gifts, from $10 on up. There are over 30 gifts that are $35 or less, including chickens, job training and school supplies! In 2013 more than 350,000 animals were donated! And last year, more than 67,000 goats alone! Let me share with you again, how the program of gift giving through World Vision works:

Simple, yet amazing!

Check out this collage of gifts you can purchase from World Vision:

Gifts that you can receive, or give to others, or even just donating the gifts. EVERY purchase benefits a child in need! And that is something you can be proud of!

Shopping through World Vision is an excellent way to teach your children about giving back as well. Make it a point to make at least one family purchase from the catalog this year, and get your kids involved in deciding which is the best gift, that you can financially afford. You might be VERY surprised at what your child might be willing to give up, to help another child in need (and honestly, most kids adore the idea of gifting a duck or goat!). I know I have been! It's a great tradition to start with your family this year, if you haven't done it before!

The hand crafted items are always amazing! I was recently sent a Fair Trade Coffee Set for review:

world vision fair trade coffee set 1

The 12 oz. coffee set is blended by OneCup.org, using delicious flavors from Ethiopia, Sumatra, and Costa Rica, and is delivered in a gift bag of African fabric hand-sewn by local womenAlso included is a hand-carved olivewood scoop, crafted to benefit more than 200 orphans of the Kamba tribe. the coffee DOES come in whole beans.

As you can see this is a VERY full bodied coffee- rich and dark, with wonderful undertones. It smells heavenly while brewing! We've all loved it, and it perfect for using for 1-2 cup brewers, as little goes a long way, depending on how you blend it! The scoop gives you the right amount of coffee, and the gift bag is perfect for storing jewelry in, or for gifting a present to someone else in!

I'm thrilled to be able to not only share about World Vision with you, my lovely readers, but be able to offer a lovely giveaway of the same coffee set I received, to one of you!
