And now for a new book that looks at 3 parts of American history...

Synopsis:

>A mysterious race of North American giants.
An ancient Hebrew inscription in a Cherokee burial mound.
A blood oath made by blindfolded Freemasons.

Are these three historical oddities the reason the CIA is trying to brainwash historian Cameron  Thorne and his fiancĂ©e Amanda Spencer-Gunn? The answer lies buried in the legends of the Knights Templar, within the rituals of the secretive Freemasons and, most significantly of all, inside the bowels of the Smithsonian Institution. The problem for Cam and Amanda? If they go rummaging around the Smithsonian, they may find themselves buried alongside the ancient giants

Review:

This book comes after the Templars in America triology (Cabal of the Westford Knight, Thief of the Cross and Powdered Gold)  by the author,  and uses the same characters from that triology, but is not technically a 4th book.  David gives you enough info and background that you do not have to read the previous 3 books, to enjoy it (I'll be reviewing the trilogy in the new year).

I'm a sucker for alternative theories based on historical research, so this book was literally a page turner for me, as all the photographs in the book are REAL discoveries. Now some have been debunked, but others can't be explained yet. personally I think there has been too many discoveries to not believe that America was visited by both the Vikings and the Chinese LONG before Columbus arrived. David takes many of these discoveries and interweaves them into a great  mystery thriller, full of espionage and spies. I literally could not put the book down until I finished it- the ending is a shocker! David's research and knowledge of American history really fuels this book and you'll find yourself searching the internet when you're done to find out more info about all the discoveries and programs mentioned in the book!

If you like historical based mysteries, like the Da Vinci code, you will adore this book! Make sure to get this one on your new reader/tablet this holiday season!
