First we used the MAX to straighten the back. Look how SHINY that hair is- and super duper straight!

Later we came back and used the MAX to create textured beachy style waves by wrapping her hair around the barrel. The removable Cool tip (on the end) REALLY makes a huge difference when you're wrapping and curling the hair! This is a great all-in-1 styler tool to have on hand! And moms can rest easy. knowing that is their kid forgets to turn it off, there it has an auto shut off after 45 minutes! How cool is that?

Then we got to try out the styler that we all REALLY wanted to try out:

InStyler’s TULIP Auto Curler

Curling your hair has never been so fast and easy. With the tap of a button, you can have perfect curls and waves every time. With the unique open barrel design of the TULIP, your hair is visible and exposed at all times, preventing hair from getting tangled in the unit.A large blue light lets you know when the Tulip is ready for use, and it heats up in less than a minute!

The Tulip comes with a hair guide that helps you to select the right amount of hair. Once you use it a few times, you can gauge how much hair to pull and you don't need the guide any longer. It is very easy to use the Tulip too-you insert the hair into the Tulip, using the round guides, pull it to the side, press the rotating button (you can set the rotation for away from your face, to your face or in spiral) once, your hair is rotated around the internal heated rod, and you hear beeps to let you know it is heating the hair. When you hear the series of 3 beeps in a row, you pull the Tulip straight down and your hair releases into a wonderful curl. You set the type of curl based on the heat length and hair type settings. I love that it doesn't matter which setting you use (6, 8, or 12 seconds), you still get the 3 beeps, and it is STILL 30 seconds from start to finish on every curl! Much quicker than using a standard curling iron!

We used the iron on one of the girls at the party, who has medium to thick hair, and these were the curls we got:

Later I decided to try the Tulip again on Miss Grace, but doing the whole head, as my test subject had decided to bail on me at the party and we only got half her head done! Miss Grace has fine silky hair, so I started with the medium setting.

Not bad, cute girls, but they didn't look to have much staying power, so we amped it up to the 12 second setting and carried on:

As you can see this was THE look we were going for- lovely spiralesque curls with bounce and fullness. And you can see how easily the hair comes out in the above photo as well.

I then tried to pull the hair up and WOW- perfect hair for holiday functions! The curls lasted really well without hair spray,all night. Had I put hair spray ON, the probably would have lasted til the morning too! It took me about 12 minutes to do her whole head, as I had to go over that first section. She told me it was much better than having a hot iron up next to her head! AHA- a way to get your child to sit STILL while you fix their hair!

The Tulip is SO easy to use that you may need to buy one for everyone in the house, as you may find it hard to share!

This is a SUPER styler for teens, as the bristles stay COOL, while the barrel heats up- which means you can style your hair much easier and safely- nor burns if you grab the bristles with your hand! Add in a non-slip rubber grip on the handles and this styler is super easy on the arms and hands. It has 2 heat settings- fine and thick. It has a large light to let you know when it's ready, and like the other Instyler products, heats up very quickly! It also has their wonderful tangle free cord for ease of use!

This styler works best for fine to medium hair texture, due to the lower heat ratio. Which also makes it great for teens, safety wise. So we grabbed one of the kids with super fine, straight and tendency to lank hair. It's also VERY hard to curl, as it drops the curl super quick. Poor child, we're hoping she outgrows that! Anyhoo, we did a basic curl, wrapping hair around the bristles (which locks in place when you're curling). As you can see, she got some pretty goo volume and wave from it. And it lasted most of the afternoon. Had we applied hair spray, it probably would have held much longer,
