Review:
This book is aimed at kids ages 4-8, but it would make a nice family prayer book for kids under 12 as well. As you can see each page includes a short prayer, a devotional (based on frequent childhood themes- friends, family, relationship with God), and also a Duck Commander in Action call. So it is very easy for kids to access and understand.
The devotionals are aimed at boys and girls alike, and I was very happy to see the one above, about being strong and brave- an important lesson to keep teaching our girls, when they are being bombarded by advertising and entertainment that would lead them to think otherwise. I love the prayers- they are simplistic, yet are the way kids speak and think, so that they will want to say them! The Duck Commander in Action is the devotional's call to action. I love this very important Action, on the right. It is great for kids AND adults to remember. What a simple way to teach kids to not only get control of their anger and emotions, but to refocus their thoughts, and not speak without thinking clearly!
Like all the other Duck Commander books, the book is very down to earth and perfect for family discussions on faith and life. It has a ribbon bookmark, so children can keep their places, as they follow through the whole book. The book is great for nightly reading with the family, or for use in Sunday school classes!
We can't recommend it enough- it would be great for Valentine's and Easter presents!
