Brave Girls: Faithful Friends

Faithful Friends, forever true . . . hearts together, me and you!
From the time they are babies, some little girls reach out to those around them, smiling, laughing, playing, and making friends. Others might find it a little tough. This new Brave Girls devotional features 90 devotions that will reinforce a young girl's desire to have friends, to BE a friend, and to help her share her faith with friends of all ages. Just as God is our “Forever Friend,” faithful and true, the Brave Girls take readers through these pages, encouraging her to be best friend she can be!
This devotional is perfect for girls ages 7-11, and included the 5 Brave Girls of the series ( hope, Glory, Faith, Gracie and Honor)in different devotions, that focus on 8 chapters, such as God is My Best Friend, Friendship Fixers and Friendship Fun Zone. Each devotion includes a relevant opening scripture from the Bible, a thought-provoking devotion to encourage a faithful and friendly heart and an engaging closing prayer to help the reader become the ambassador of friendship God wants her to be! Some devotionals also include an ending thought provoking activity, that ties in with the devotion for the day.

 Brave Girls: Better Than Perfect

Better than perfect: that’s what every girl is in God’s eyes.
A young girl’s doubt in her own self-worth starts from an early age. Am I pretty enough? Am I smart enough? Will I fit in? Do people like me? Am I worthy enough? These aren’t questions asked by teens, but from precious girls in grade school! Brave Girls Faith and Honor will help girls navigate these questions and learn just how wonderful they are!
Once again, this is a 90 day devotional, for girls ages 7-11, to help them find their place in the world and learn that the beauty of their imperfections is what makes them unique, loved, precious, and “better than perfect” in God’s eyes. The devotionals are in the same format as Faithful Friends, and include 6 chapters like Truth Detectives, Body Builders and Character Quest. This book is SO important to help girls build a string self image, before it gets racked by any more doubt from the constant barrage of media falsehoods. It only takes hearing a 6 yr old saying "do I look fat?"or "am I weird?" to realize how much they are absorbing, even if you are vigilant about what they are exposed to!
Overall, these books are perfect for adding to your daughter's/ niece's/ granddaughter's Easter basket. Especially if they are in the pre-teen early phase, where a little direction will go a LONG way! I highly recommend them to anyone with a young girl in the house, as a way to engage your daughter in a devotional aimed at them, not "babies" or "teenagers", and one that offers some really quality family time talking as well!
