Gorton's Smart & Crunchy Products Will Liven Up Your Spring Dinners! (review and giveaway)

If you're of the Catholic persuasion, then you might be pretty tired of fish about now!

Fish has pretty much been a Friday night staple for our family for as long as I can remember-it's just a habit that we've kept.

if we're not eating from a local restaurant, then there is one brand we consistently turn to:

Gorton's is here to rescue you from the Friday night blah dinners,
especially if you'r on a diet, with their new Smart & Crunchy line"

gortons smart and crunchy products

Gorton’s all NEW Smart & Crunchy Fish Sticks and Fillets are made with 100% wild-caught Alaska Pollock and breaded in a tasty panko breadcrumb, that gives them a great crunch. Always crispy, never fried, they have 50% less fat than the regular Gorton's Fish Sticks and Fillets, with 200 calories or less per serving. They have NO MSG or artificial flavors (something we can ALL cheer about) too! This combination of taste, health and convenience puts a new spin on a classic family favorite!  Available in fish sticks and fillets, in resealable bags, you can use what you need and keep the rest for later- perfect if you need single servings!

We've sampled both of the products and while the fish sticks were very tasty, we refer the fillets!

The fillets can be served like they are above, with a side for a quick dinner (ready in 20 minutes), when you're in a rush, getting back from baseball or soccer practice. Add a side salad and you've got a meal the kids will love. Fish and seafood are natural sources of lean protein and crucial nutrients like vitamins and minerals including iron, zinc, and Vitamins A,B and D. But we actually prefer them a different way:

gorton's smart and crunch fillet soft taco roll up

Yup- we love to grab some tortillas, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and cucumber and make our own soft fish tacos with them! It's perfect for Spring and Summer, as they are light, filling and good for you! miss Grace adores them and loves taking a leftover one for lunch the next day-she's winning over her classmates to fish tacos, one by one too!

You will LOVE these new products as much as we do! They really DO stay crunchy, are super flavorable and convenient! And Gorton's has plenty of great recipes available on their website to give you new ideas on how to serve them!

  2. I have been entering that sweepstakes for some time now. I hope the tour stps in my area. Our kids got to meet Mr Peanut last year, and the weinermobile is coming next week. This would close the loop.

  3. We are Catholic, but I always get fresh fish and avoid the breaded ones from the freezer section. The fresher fish is better for you especially if it's wild caught and it tastes much better too.

    1. That's true Cascia, but sometimes you can't get fresh fish locally, or for convenience factor, these are a good option
