Ahhhh Summer....

It's almost here and with it the night lights of fireflies caught by kids in recycled mason jars...

It's a light you always remember!

But what if you're in the city and don't have fireflies?

Frux Home and Yard is coming to your rescue!

Their Fairy Star Lights are long-lasting LED Indoor/Outdoor lights on a continuous copper wire, which makes them wind and waterproof! You get 120 bulbs that sparkle 360 degrees around for MAXIMUM shine! Look what comes with your set of lights:

You get an extra-long, 39 ft, string of white lights  (47 ft total with plug) with not just an electrical plug in, but a free AA battery plugin, that can be interchanged, so you can use them for ANY need you have! Plus they come in a pretty nifty and cute box!

As you know I recently started changing Miss Grace's room over from nursery lavender to Disney Cool Marine turquoise and when we placed her Else large wall decal up against the color, we realized not all the sparkly snowflakes would standout. So when I was offered the chance to check out these lights, and idea started to take shape.

How about making a large snowflake out of the lights and putting it above the wall snowflakes to not only add light at night, but to showcase the other snowflakes?

Let me warn you- 120 lights are a LOT of lights to string! I quickly realized that keeping to a traditional snowflake shape was going to be a bit difficult, so I grabbed a wire wreath form and made a more artistic take of a snowflake design using the lights:

As you can see these little lights SPARKLE intensely! I did not use ANY flash in those 3 pictures- it was ALL angle. When you are close up, you can see a more intimate glow. But when you back up and place them higher up on a wall- BAMM, You have 'a exploding snowflake'. Course Miss Grace thought this was a good thing. Whew! And with the long cord, it will be easy to place the 'fairy star light snowflake' upon the wall and use the battery adapter to keep from seeing any dangling cord.

The lights would be perfect for adding to any kids' room, either as a firefly lantern, fairy canopy, snowflake, for marque style letters/sayings, or even a lighted 'gangplank'! The ideas are endless!

Note- the battery adapter has an on/off switch, but the electrical adapter does NOT. This was my only negative mark for the lights- it would have been nice to have an inline on.off switch on the electiical cord too!

Ass you can see, the lights look gorgeous wrapped into a traditional wreath shape, and thanks to that battery adapter, you could use them for jack o'lanterns during October, wreaths for November and nativity/angel/snowflake designs in December! They would be great to use for a special announcement or question popping too! I plan on getting a few sets for all the holidays!
