But what about a wall?

You can choose from old and new testament passages, or from faith based designs. OR if you don't see one that is right for you, you can have one made! This was the option I chose. While redoing Miss Grace's room to a 'pre=tween' look, I wanted to add something faith based, and more than a cross (she had 3 already). So I decided to choose lyrics from one of her favorite hymns from the Gettys. Since she's into all things Irish right now, it made perfect sense!

The crew at Divine Walls was very patient and really helped me pick the perfect font, size and color for my wall decal! This was the design we ended up with:

 final design idea

It arrived VERY quickly, and came in an extra long tube, to make sure it stayed protected! I appreciated it coming in ONE piece, so you could see immediately how to place and use it. Well once Miss Grace saw how big it was, she decided she didn't want to loose her Tinkerbell poster after all. SIGH..so I had to decide on plan B for placement, as she definitely still wanted it in her room.

We have an old house and while I love the wood molding, you do tend to get a dead space above the upper molding. So the light bulb dawned! So I cut the design into sentences and then worked on figuring out placement. Miss Grace wanted to be able to see it from her bad and desk, so that narrowed it down.

As you can see, on the longer words, I ended up cutting them in half, to make it easier to remove the backing. What I did find out that the adhesive on the backside IS re-positionable, if you don't press down hard. As I had to break down the word, that was very helpful. I peeled down the top inch as you can see, and then used that to stick to the wall, with painter's tape for insurance. Note: the sayign isn't made to be peeled and moved around, just the adhesive they are placed on it (if you need to remove, ie selling house, you just heat with a blow dryer and they peel off). . There are grid lines on the back to help you as well. As you can see, it lined up well, and looked great.

But then I got off the ladder (!) and looked at it again and realized with Elsa on 2 walls, something was missing.....hmmmmm

So off to the Cricut I went and cut out some snowflakes, aka flowers, and added them to the design on the wall:

I ran out of white, so I still need to add 4 more snowflakes. But you can see how it looks (excuse the panorama ceiling fan shadows- still getting used to using that mode and haven't figured out hw to not have them):

Miss Grace loves it. Actually her exact word were "ooooooo"/ LOL. She immediately started singing the songs and was just tickled that she had lyrics on her wall. I'm happy they are lyrics to remind her that God is always with her! Now the Elsa theme is carried over from wall to wall too, and the room (well two thirds of it) is now coherent. I'm taking my time with it, as each time I get a wall done, she wants more changes! Her future husband better love to paint walls is all I can say!

And speaking of husbands. Father's Day is upon us. How about a great wall saying for Dad's office, at home or at work? For the garage, work shed or den? You can apply the sayings in less than 15 minutes usually, so You could literally sneak the night before and install it and lead him on a treasure hunt with the kids in the am to find it! It's a gift that keeps on giving!
