Review;

At around 100 pages, this magazine is really more like an anthology. It has short stories from authors you love, book and movie reviews, articles on the writing process, interviews with authors, and even short stories from reader submissions! It is a great way to get to know about new books and authors you may have never read, as well as to find out about mysteries that have been written about. It very much reminds me of the old Ellery Queen magazine, I used to read as a child (apparently it is still in print, per a quick Google check, I haven't seen it in years, who knew?), but in a more modern form! In the April/May 2014 edition I reviewed there was an excellent article on the lore behind The Philadellhia Experiement, an article on Face Off authors Peter James and Ian Rankin, as well some really great articles and interviews. I spent a pleasant 2 days reading through the magazine and was very impressed with not only the quality of the aticles, but of the reviews and overall feel of the magazine and I can't recommend it enough!

If you have a bookaholic friend who loves mysteries and suspense fiction, this magazine would be an excellent gift, that will keep on giving!  It is available in 1 and 2 yr electronic subscriptions, and you can also purchase back issues in print form. And right now they are having an uber bonus deal: If you buy a one year digital subscription to the magazine between now and December 31st, it will turn into a Lifetime Subscription! Wow what a deal, $24.00 for a lifetime subscription!!! Talk about a gift that will keep on giving! Your recipient will LOVE you!  Subscribe at this link for the deal: HERE!
