All Creatures Big and Smallcover

All Creatures Big and Small is a family-friendly, feature-length adventure that re-imagines the epic tale of Noah's Ark.  In All Creatures Big and Small, a clumsy new species of Nestrians, led by patriarch Dave and son Finny, find themselves left off the list of animals allowed to board Noah’s Ark. With rough waters ahead, the father-son duo scramble in disguise to sneak onto the boat. Caught up in all the excitement, Finny accidentally steps off the boat and gets left behind leaving him and a few new friends to embark on an incredible and harrowing journey to reunite with their family. With the aid of creatures big and small, Dave must turn the Ark around to save his son in this heartwarming adventure of biblical proportions.

Review:

Miss Grace and I were able to check out a review copy of this great new movie for kids this past weekend. It is SO adorable, that even adults will find themselves laughing along ("nice man named Noah"). The  movie teaches kids that we are all different and unique. The Christian angle is subtle, and most kids won't even realize that Christian morality issues are being taught (having faith, acknowledging ones faults, forgiveness, and more). I loved how it taught that everyone has their own uniqueness- the thing that makes them 'them', that make them special, and that sometimes, it might take awhile to find out what those things are. For Finny and his Dad, the puzzle of their purpose, and where they should be, comes at the end of the movie and will have kids laughing with glee! This is definitely a movie to watch with your kids, as there are som many points to discuss with your kids afterwards!
