Disclosure / Disclaimer: I received this book, free of charge,from Tommy nelson Kids, for review and giveaway purposes on this blog. No other compensation, monetary or in kind, has been received or implied for this post. Nor was I told how to post about it

And now for a book that not only teaches the bible, it teaches reading literacy!

Synopsis:

Simple Bible stories for ages 1–4 years are presented with simple text and colorful objects for kids to point and name, appealing to parents looking to introduce their toddlers to God's word in an engaging, age-appropriate way. Hear the Bible story, say the verse, pray, and find key objects on the page.

Review;

This is an adorable board book, that helps pre-readers see words of common items, like water, fish, sky, in a biblical context. Each 'story' is 2 pages, with the basic story and applicable bible verse, as well as the simple words, as you can see above. It is a great way to not only share a simple bible tale, but start off an early word recognition, and later reading, with your child/grandchild. We highly recommend it with the start of the school season about to be upon us, as a great present for kids staying home and not getting to go to school like older siblings!

About the Illustrator:

Sarah Ward is a freelance designer and illustrator living in Sheffield in the UK. She says "as long as I've been able to hold a pencil in my hand, I've loved to draw. As I went to college I started to fall in love with graphic design but in the background I still loved nothing more than sitting with a pencil and sketchbook. It was during my degree in Visual Communication that I began to take my illustrations onto the Mac and mix the two elements together." Sarah soon started selling greetings cards, before getting hired on full time at Hallmark Cards. During her 3 years there she designed cards, gift wrap, packaging and crackers (for British sales). She then took the e to take the leap and became a freelance designer/illustrator. She now works from her home studio for numerous clients around the world, including having illustrated many childrens books. Check out her website for more info.
