In this day and age, there are VERY few businesses which are still standing on the beliefs they started with. Hobby Lobby and Chick-Fil-A are two high profile ones, you may have heard about.

But there is a pizza franchise (190 locations strong, across 13 states including Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nebraska, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado. ) that needs to be added to your list of must visit businesses: Pizza Ranch!

Pizza Ranch's vision and mission is to glorify God by positively impacting the world and to give every guest a legendary experience, involving some pretty awesome pizza too. It all started in 1981, when Adrie Groeneweg was 19, and had a dream-  Why does everyone have to drive out of town (Hull, IA) to get a pizza?  With just six specialty and single topping pizza recipes developed by Adrie's mother, Lorraine, Pizza Ranch was born.

On June 2nd of this year,  Pizza Ranch released a CD called Living Hope containing twelve songs from many of their favorite Christian artists ( and mine and yours too, I bet!) Most of the songs are brand-new and written exclusively for this CD around the theme of Hope.  How is that about a business sticking to their faith and sharing it with their customers?

Adrie Groeneweg, President & CEO of Pizza Ranch, Inc.says  "This album has a very special meaning for Pizza Ranch.  Although Pizza Ranch is not in the music business, many things have been happening, conversations have been taking place and doors have been opening for this album.  Through these events, I believe it was obvious that God has been behind this for His specific purpose and putting it on our hearts to collectively create this project.  As such, we call this our miracle album, Living Hope."

Artisits like Colton Dixon, Francesca Batistelli, Ellie Holcomb, Sidewalk Prophets, Kevin Max, Bart Millard, Passion Band featuring Kristian Stanfill, Michael W. Smith, Laura Story, Matthew West and Mark Schultz, offer up some pretty amazing songs  (12 in all) that will really get you to thing about Hope and God's Grace. Check out the story of how Matthew West's song Day One came about to be on the album:

This is an excellent cd to have in the car and for teens to hear! It is very helpful reminder that not only is God always with us, but we need to remember to lean (and count on) him in times of doubt and need, when there seems to be no hope. And to remember that hope is always there. There is always another proverbial door for us to take, we just may not see it at the moment when we are blinded by doubt and lack of trust. There is just about every style of Christian music represented and you, and your kids, are sure to find at least 2 0r 3 instant favorites on it, like we did!

Take a listen, and look at the lyrics to Panic Room, our fav song on the cd. It belnds all of Kevin's musical influences to a song that screams 80s to the adults and 'cool' to the kids:

This cd will allow for some great family discussions, especially if you have a captive audience, like on the way to your Summer vacation! Don't you love it when you can get their total undivided attention? LOL. I've found that we have the most honest and heartfelt talks on road trips, as there is something about being on the open road that can open hearts and minds!

The CD will be available to purchase for $5 plus tax exclusively in Pizza Ranch restaurants or for download at pizzaranch.com/livinghope through August 31.
