blast off back to school banner

Back to school means one thing in our household:

An increase of boo-boos!

Both the kid and Dad seem to increase their scratches, cuts and the like, once school starts!

This new collection of first aid products from 3M is designed specifically for those with sensitive and fragile skin, particularly infants to school-age children, and the elderly!

Meet the Nexcare Sensitive Skin Products from 3M:

nexcare sensitive skin first aid tape

With reliable adhesion and kind removal, the hypoallergenic products in the Nexcare Sensitive Skin collection offer an option for families of all ages that are affected by skin sensitivity.

nexcare sensitive skin first aid bandages

The line was created in conjunction with research developed by Nexcare Brand on how skin sensitivity can be more than just a nuisance, it can impact day-to-day lives and activities for many families:

- Over 65% of parents report heightened concern surrounding the sensitivity of their child’s skin
- This is an even bigger concern among younger parents, with over 3 in 4 millennial parents (76%) reporting apprehension due to the sensitivity of their children’s skin
·        -  Over 9 in 10 parents (91%) report tricks that they use for helping ease the process of pulling off bandages or first aid dressings, these tricks include pulling it off quickly (57%), letting their children pull it off themselves (36%) and distracting them with a funny face (29%)
Over 70% of Americans report being bothered by skin sensitivity

The new line covers first aid tape, bandages and eye patch, that we were sent to review:

Sensitive Skin Tape- ideal for frequent applications such as: securing medical devices, post-surgical gauze applications and wound care. It was also helpful for wrapping a bandage around areas that move a lot like toes and fingers, to help keep them in place.

Sensitive Skin Eye Patchdeal for treating amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus (crossed eyes), as part of doctor recommended treatment plan. The pads are breathable and perfect for eye injuries/treatments. We also found them handy for place on blister areas, to help them breathe, but keep protected from being opened.

Sensitive Skin Adhesive Pads- Helps protect wounds such as cuts, minor burns, abrasions and post-surgical incisions.  The waterproof absorbent non-stick pad wicks fluids away from a wound, for better recovery.
Or for kids with big booboos, or elderly fathers who forget they are on blood thinners and cut themselves while working in the yard! LOL Both of them have LOVED these pads for how well they can be repositioned if needed, and are SO easy to remove. For both of them, adhesive removal has always been an issue, and these pads (and tape) have been a great product!

The Nexcare Sensitive Skin collection is priced from $7.49 and is available at select retail stores nationwide. Trust me when I say, having no tears, tantrums and episodes to remove a bandage, makes the cost more than worth the price!  For us, being able to use them on everybody in the household also makes them cost effective for us. I don't have to buy different boxes and mark them for use on me and mom, or dad and the kid! I think I love the tape the best, as there have been so many uses for it, but all 3 products are equally useful in your first aid kit and I can't recommend them enough, especially if you are a 'sandwich home' like us, with young children and elderly parents in your house!
