This new album from Seal is due to hit stores later this week, on November 6th!

Thsi new album from Seal takes on the world's strongest emotion- LOVE.

“The album concerns the most sung about, most talked about, and most documented emotion—love,” he affirms. “I tried to capture all of the wonderfully different dynamics of love, whether it’s the anger, the acceptance, the bliss, the sadness, the elation, or the recklessness. It’s this emotion and the ways it makes us feel. It’s about the extreme joy and the extreme regret as well as all of the crazy things love makes us do.”

Love is flexible, adaptable and changes. That fluidity is something that Seal encountered as he went through his divorce and created different levels of love with his ex-wife and children. But he also saw the hope that is always ineherent in love and wanted to make sure that was included as well. For Seal there was only one person who understood how he wanted to bring all of this to vinyl, and that was his long time producer Trevor Horn:

“We barely spoke about music in the studio,” Seal admits. “We talked more about life and our relationship over the years. He just understands how to place my voice. On the one hand, you have this elaborate production and signature of Trevor Horn, but you never lose sight of what it is I’m saying. That’s the narrative. There’s no producer who understands how to sustain and keep focused on the narrative of my voice and what I’m trying to say better than Trevor does. He pushes me, and we left it all on the court. He taught me a work ethic and approach to making records that will stay with me until the day I die.”

Seal's motto is Strength Through Vulnerability and Trevor has helped him show that on previous albums with hits like Kiss From a Rose. This new album resonated that theme with every song on it! The tracks on the cd take you through all of love's aspects, the good and the bad, echoing the stages in Seal's life, as he was writing the songs. As different as some of the songs are from each other, their cohesiveness is always underneath, reminding you that love is universal, yet personal to each and every one of us. And that is a good thing. There are some tracks that are destined for the Top 40 and others that you will want to curl up with at home. Making this a perfect Seal album and not one to be missed.
