Review:

You can't get away from Manga characters these days, can you? Not sure what they are? Manga are Japanese comics, and the stylized characters from them. This book concentrates on chibis, the younger, smaller persons in Manga.tales, and easier ones to draw!

This is the second in the Manga drawing series that Christopher has authored, but I think it might be the most fun one!

The book starts off showing you the basics, having you 'complete' drawings, and showing you how to make your own characters. Miss Grace took on the top 2 girls, while I did the bottom. I think she might have done better on this one, as her girl on the right is easing toward a Day of the Dead look, and much more interesting than mine!

Miss Grace decided my angel boy was 'too safe', so in honor of Harry Potter, I designed a more Manga looking Harry! What do you think?

The book also gives you mazes to complete , like the one up above. Which was fun for Miss Grace and I to lay out and complete, with little 'animals that are all over social media' right now! Yes, we like to stay current, LOL.

Then the book gets into you actually doing ALL the drawing!

So my sheep looks more like a bear (per da kid) and my tortoise if a bit 'tired looking', but I tried. SIGH.  My teenager, didn't quite turn out right. I have never done well with elbows and noses, so it wasn't a surprise to me.

But ultimately, we both had FUN with this book and would highly recommend it as a great way to pass the Summer heat wave. It teaches as it entertains, and you learn about balance and breaking an object into smaller arts ad then adding more lines and curves to make your final drawing, Add a great pack of pencils and some fun erasers, and you have a fun gift perfect for pre-teens and teens!
