Are you already getting tired of the daily lunch routine?

Meet the snack the entire family will adore:

crunchies line

Crunchies’ are a delicious, single-ingredient snack, that are not only non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free and kosher, they have no added sugar or artificial flavoring.

How's THAT for a healthy snack?

Crunchies are the only freeze-dried fruit company who own their supply chain from field to fork. Literally. They source fruit directly from the farmers who grow it, to the manufacturing plant. By picking the ripest fruit and vegetables, at the right time, you get a crunchy, fruity flavor burst in every bite of their amazing snacks!

Both the fruit and vegetables are harvested at the perfect ripeness, cleaned and then quickly frozen. The frozen fruit and vegetables undergo freeze drying with a special combination of temperature and pressure, that leaves the majority of the frozen water in the fruit and vegetables turning directly into water vapor. This the the fruit and vegetables become dry and crunchy. This unique process retains most of the color, flavor, and most importantly, the nutritional value of the fresh fruit. It's a difference you can taste!

Crunchies come in 10 delicious varieties of fruits and vegetables (the only one we didn't get to sample was Mango).

The ultimate test is always dried pineapple, so that one the first we opened up!

As you can see, you get some pretty good size chunks! We were all amazed at how the snack retained all the chewy great flavor of pineapple, yet was freeze dried. Like fresh pineapple, they were more on the tart side, but perfect for settling a craving, or adding to a bottle of water for some unique flavoring! We had intended to try some in baking, but the bag got eaten before we could!

The Mixed Fruit was actually the last of the mixes we tried, as Miss Grace got off into making her own mixes at first, LOL But this combination of apples, strawberries, blueberries and bananas was a hit at school! She shared the bag with her classmates, and they all thought it was pretty yummy! This would be a good mix to use in you morning cereal or oatmeal, for a fun burst of fruit, or for lunch, over a salad! You could also use it to top smoothies!

The second bag that got opened was the Cinnamon Apples! We're pretty fanatical about dried apples, so I knew this one would be tough to please. But everyone loved them and their cinnamony taste was JUST right! I managed to snag back a handful for use in some bread this weekend! We'll see how well they bake!

This was Miss Grace's combination 1- The apples, raspberries, blueberries and pineapple. I know. But she loved the combination of sweet and sour flavor, and it was a staple in her lunch for about 4 days! When your kid wants to take fruit, you gotta say an 'Amen!" and let 'em!

Mix number 2- the strawberries and bananas mix, with blueberries and pineapple. Yup- more sweet and sour! this was actually a good blend that we used with grilled chicken over a spinach salad one night- very tasty (I just forgot to take a picture!).

We opened the grapes and they definitely are an improvement over the traditional raisin! We're going to use them with the pineapple in a Hawaiian style bread, and I think it will be quite yummy!  Alas the beets were a bit of a no-go. Nobody in the family likes beets normally, so after an initial taste, it was a "nope, still don't like them", and we gave the rest to a friend whose toddler hasn't formed that opinion yet. He ADORED them! Hmmm, maybe this is a way to get toddlers used to, and liking the flavor?

Overall we have LOVED the Crunchies and Miss Grace is already deciding what flavors she wants to order for the next batch of school lunches!
