Let the Pink Ribbon Welcome Mat Show YOUR Support (review and giveaway)

Disclosure / Disclaimer: I received this product/giveaway, free of charge, from Carpet One Floor & Home, for review and giveaway, purposes on this blog. No other compensation, monetary or in kind, has been received or implied for this post. Nor was I told how to post about it

For the past 3 years, we've shared about the great efforts from Carpet One Floor & Home to raise  almost a million dollars (in the past 10 years) to support breast cancer research from the sales of their lovely Pink Ribbon Welcome Mats. 25 percent of the proceeds of the mats sold, go to breast cancer research. That is something we can all support!

Carpet One Floor & Home is a cooperative of 1,000 locally owned flooring stores nationwide. This year they are offering a new collection of Pink Ribbon Welcome Mats, featuring 19 different designs, including four selections created by noted interior designers Lisa Mende, Traci Zeller, Melissa Davis and Kelli Ellis.

We were asked to check out one of the new designs, and all of the mats were lovely, but I wanted something for YEAR round (because breast cancer doesn't JUST happen in October- we need to focus year round on finding a cure), so of COURSE, I had to pick Lisa's design!

Don't you just love the color combination? It SO screams classic Southern style to me!

The mats are really sturdy-the mat we have from 3 years ago STILL looks as great as it did when it first arrive! They are SO easy to take care of- just throw in the washer with other rugs, or towels, then drip dry and they're back in use, looking brand new! And if you do place the mat on carpet, like we do, their plastic nubs underneath really help them to grab into carpet, and STAY put, so no tripping or falling over them! This is helpful in our house when you have a 70 pound dog chasing the cat back and forth over it, as the cat likes to stop and roll onto the rug, and grab the dogs belly. Sigh, I know. It's like having 2 two year olds running amok in the house... But like I said, the rugs stay PUT. And with Fall, and bad weather, upon us, you know you need something to catch all the mud and yuck that is going to come through your door. We've found that by having them on the inside and a heavy shoe cleaner mat outside, the dirt trail STOPS at the front door! Plus, with the mat there, we can kick off shoes and make sure the dirt stays put!

Plus, everytime we get a new mat, our friends and family remark how cute/pretty./nice the rugs are, and want to know where we got them! These rugs are more than just practical-they truly are a design decision, that shows off your personality!

The Pink Ribbon Welcome Mats are made in the USA, so your dollars are staying at home too! The Welcome Mats are available all year long in Carpet One Floor & Home stores throughout the U.S.,(find a Welcome Mat in your area via the store locator) and retail for $24.99. They are a great element to buy for your home, and to give as a hostess gift that gives year round, or for a great birthday gift, to remind someone how proud you are of their fight against cancer! So check them out today and support the cause!

  7. Hey that was super fast! I received a doormat today already. It was the breast cancer one pictured above. I had put on the google doc under
choices "huge pink flowers on it"(which is in your pic above). So I was surprised not to get that one. I don't guess it matters. Thanks!
