Review:

If you homeschoo this is definitely a book you want to add to your collection! The book is one of the longer ones in the series at 76 pages. The book takes kids into a typical Viking village in Norway and shows how they had their own culture, language and beliefs. It is a fun look at a historical period, that kids will be entranced with once again. The books sets straight 'hollywoodness' and gives the truths of ancient Norway. Adults will find this one just as interesting as the kids! It would be a great book to use as an additional resource, and to have homeschooling kids use as a reference for making their own Viking story, or play! It's another winner from Carol, and as a about to me

and in continuation of the country series...

Review:

Poland is a harder to country to write about- while we may know the food, getting kids interesting in a country few really know about can be hard. But Carole does a great job in bringing kids in, sharing the unique culture and language, especially. She also shows  surprising facts like how Poland had the first constitution in Europe and how its main city got its name. The illustrations this time combine photos and illustrations, for a very unique look. It is well worth a look and adding to your kids resource library!
