These anime fairies are perfect for drawing this holiday season, as they almost look more like Christmas elves! Just think- you can leave really personalized elf notes for the kids, OR you can give them the book and keep them OCCUPIED and QUIET on the ride to Grandma's this weekend! Give them a set of colored pencils, some erasers, and this book, and you're sure to get at LEAST an hours worth of peace!
Christopher follows the same format from his acclaimed Doodletopia: Manga book and starts you off learning basic form, then adding in features. It really can be quite simple to draw this fairies, once you realize, it is all about shapes. Then it's a matter of adding 'frills' if you will, like curling hair, a pom pom on the end of a hat, a fun outfit. Then it's time to add accessories, and even houses! All of this teaches lines, basic drawing technique and even perspective!
Boys and girls will both be enchanted with this book, as will you! This is a great book to give, or to add to your homeschool curriculum this coming January, to get kids enthusiastic about art!
