Review:

As you can see this is a book full of bright, fun illustrations to grab kids from the first page! but then Korie and Chrys keep them, with simple tales based on real life episodes from the Robertson's life, featuring all the grandkids and families. These are characters that kids will feel that they KNOW and can relate to (especially the Southern kids).

Duck Commander Happy, Happy, Happy Stories for Kids! collage

There are 14 stories and each starts off with a bible verse relevant to the tale, The stories are about 6 pages long each, perfect for grade levels  K-3, ages 4-8 to read with a parent, or for the older range, (and really up through age 11), to read by themselves. Each of the stories gives kids lessons about morality, family values and family. Topics include relying on God when you're scared, the value of working hard for a goal, when you should play pranks, and the importance of being prepared, Once your child finishes the story, then there is a 'What does the bible Say?" page, offering a different quote from the bible, answering the question proposed in the reading. then there is the "Let's talk About It' page, which asks questions about what the child has just read, and offers ways to think about the topic at hand. lastly there is the 'Duck Commander in Action' section (usually 2 pages) that offers more possibilities where the scenario in the book might occur in the child's life, and what they can do/should do in those situation. This section is perfect for family discussion, or for your child to read aloud to you and answer the questions together.

This is a great book, that goes hand in hand with the previous Duck Commander Devotions for Kids book, to give your kids a great bible study program for home, especially if you are homeschooling, as it gives kids some critical thinking skills as well as bible study! We LOVE it when something crosses multiple curriculums! It might technically be a grade behind her, but we're using it for Miss Grace's bible study, and adding it an essay answer in the mix, to bring it up to her writing level. The book really can be used for multiple levels and ages! We can't recommend it enough for some fun, topical, meaningful bible study! It would be a great Easter gift too!
