A key point to these tubes is their unique opening feature- they are sealed and you use the inset of the top of their caps to open them. I recommend having a q-tip handy to take the paint off of the opener, otherwise, if you wipe it with anything else, it might get messy. This is also helpful for keeping your unused paints fresh, thanks to the sealed tops!
A great benefit of these paints is that the colors can be mixed with a wide variety of mediums, including blank canvas, wood, clay, fabric, nail art and ceramic pieces! Which means this is a multi-use set, that gives you more bang for your buck!

Letting the 9 year old loose with the paints was a level of faith, as I wasn't sure if she would not handle the tubes with ease and we'd have paint everywhere! But thanks to the ease of use she was able to get the tubes opened, into the try and even made multiple mixes with ease! As you can see, she got strong vibrant color from the paints. She's still undecided whether to give the background a watercolor look, or use the paints as they are, so sorry no finished picture yet!

My ONLY complaint with the set is that the plastic holder is pretty flimsy, so you WILL need another holder for your paints. But otherwise this is a fun gift set for kids, that is also perfect for adults, to express their creativity in new, vibrant ways! And it will make your Spring a lot more colorful!
