As we're ALL aware, there is a new Disney movie opening up FRIDAY, that has the internet abuzz- Hermione as Belle, oh my!
Unfortunately for many of us, the director chose to deviate from the original cartoon movie and add in adult matter. And while the movie is obviously made FOR adults, it has been marketed to kids, and there within lies the issue at the hard heart of the debate, which is now causing parents to rethink taking their kids to see the move. I would urge you to SEE it first, and then decide whether it's right for YOUR kids, and to make sure you have plenty of discussion about what was added and why, and how it corresponds to YOUR family's beliefs..
But there is NO denying the movie is going to be ALL over your kids' world, from commercials, to movie previews, to books and more. I was able to check out 2 such related books and be able to share them with you. Due to the changes in the movie, I can't add these 2 books into my Easter gift guide-but if you are ok with the movie, then you may want to pick up these 2 books for your daughter/granddaughter/niece.

With it's gold embossed cover, it is definitely the richer looking of the 2 books, and really appears more like a fancy journal, thanks to its heavier stock pages and binding.As you can see the writing prompts are appropriate for this age level, and even 13-15 yr olds might like it as a free writing journal.
