Review:

This devotional is aimed at ages 8 and up, but I would realistically put it at ages 6-10, as to be it is more of a precursor to other pre-teen devotionals we have used and reviewed this past year, It is perfect for using during the school year either as an at home bible study/devotional with parents, or as a once a week bible class curriculum, especially since it does take your children through important Bible stories, that are addressed during the church calendar.

Each devotional has a different contributor, making for different voices, but keeping the same tone, thanks to sound editing by Mr Hunt, Each devotional is about 3 pages long, of easy reading, as you can see from the samples above. Each devotional also includes a point for 'Today's Adventure", an overview that parents can use for more followup during the week, and daily activities enforcing it.

Each devotional also ends with a Prayer and a Take Along,  as you can see above. These simple prayers remind kids to think of others and to ask for help when it is needed. The take alongs remind kids that lessons are just to be heard, but to be practiced in our daly lives.

Overall this is a great little book, with bright illustrations that really grab the intended age crowd. It makes a great cross curriculum read, as it can help with reading, spelling, vocabulary and bible study! And we highly recommend it, especially for those looking for a bible study that can cross over for homeschooling!
