Earlier this week I introduced you to a great way to get tweens interested in bible curriculum, and today I have an AMAZING resource for bible study, for the entire family, from a name you can trust:
Teach Sunday School logo
Teach Sunday School, as I hope you already know, offers an array of products that not only make teaching bible study and sunday school classes easier, but also a lot more fun, like bible printables, crafts and games, easy to use lesson plans and skits! So when I was asked if I wanted to check out their new product,
Books of the Bible At-a-Glance, I was thrilled to be able to see how our entire family could use them!

Books of the Bible at a Glance cover

Books of the Bible At-a-Glance is a very unique product that not only gives you printable Books of the Bible "Summary Sheets", it gves you the proper context and timeline for ALL 66 books of the bible!

Just think about that for a minute.

Kids get taught a timeline of history, so we tend to think chronologically. Yet when it comes to the bible, we hear sermons that jump from old to new testament, and back again, and daily devotionals and bible studies do the same. So it's no wonder that kids, especially who are tuned to quick bites of info in sensical order, get confused and don't want to READ the bible. Kids, and even adults, can have a hard time keeping those 1,000 years of age differences apart, when reading different authors (there are 40 of them!) of the bible books in random order!

But these book-by-book Bible printables aim to stop that confusion. Take a look:

These Bible book pages are amazing! Not only do you get which part of the bible they are in, you get their placement in the Bible, their author AND a timeline placement (in text and graphic form!). Then you get the highlights from the book, what the book is famous for and important points about it!

Now doesn't Bible study look a lot better?
Yup!

miss grace and bible book pages

For Miss Grace, who thinks chronologically, thanks to her OCD, these pages are amazing for her. What I did was print the Books of the Bible At a Glance pages all out, hole punch and then put them in a binder for her, in CHRONOLOCIAL order. I amended the contents page to show thier new 'page number' for her binder, and now anytime she has a bible passage, or page to study, she can quickly find the applical Bible book page she needs and quickly see the time placement and additional CONTEXT for that book. What that means for her bible study, is a better understanding of what else was going on in our history at the time, and why bible passages may have been phrased a certain way, and how they can have multiple meanings. Which from my teacher stand point is AMAZING! She is getting the 'big picture' and no longer confused. The pages have helped her place the Bible in HISTORICAL context, and not see it as just another book! Isn't that what we ALL want to understand?

These pages are perfect for at home family use, but they would be superb for any church to purchase, and use for ALL of their bible study programs, for kids AND adults! And you can get them in a download, so you can print out as many as you need! AND right now they are LESS than half price, and UNDER $10. This is a resource you will use over and over and over! Especially, if you homeschool, these pages can work alongside any history curriculum, and allow you to incorporate bible reading into every history lesson. HOW amazing is that? I love when a product can work so many different ways!
