I was recently able to receive products from WAA-TAH! to review.
"WAT-AAH! is the first 100% sugar-free functional beverage brand designed especially for kids. WAT-AAH was launched in June 2008 in New York. It is currently distributed in more than 250 stores including Whole Foods Market. The brand was recently named by Trend Hunter magazine as one of the Best Products for Kids in 2009. WAT-AAH! contains no sugar, artificial flavors, colors or unnatural additives. WAT-AAH! is ultra pure water containing the right amount of essential ingredients such as magnesium, electrolytes and oxygen to help maintain children's health. WAT-AAH!'s mission is to reverse the established behavior and dependency on sweetened drinks among America's children, and ultimately help fight the battle against childhood obesity and to teach kids that healthy bodies can be obtained through healthy hydration."
We received the WAA-TAH! Body (regular water), WAA-TAH! BONES (water + magnesium) and WAA-TAH! Brain (water + electrolytes). They also have WAA-TAH! ENERGY (water +oxygen).
Well we knew we had a trip planned to the water park 3 days later, so we thought we take the water then and see how it worked. We froze our bottles overnight so they would stay nice and cool during the day out.
When you have a very active 2 year old and a 78% humidity day, water and electrolytes just seem to go together.
As you can see, we had no problems getting her to drink the water- she LOVED it.
She obviously could tell it helped her as every time she's start to get overheated, she'd come sit down on our blanket and chug some of the WAA-TAH!
Mom and Dad drank the other bottles- it kept us equally hydrated. It felt like the one with the magnesium seemed to give me a boost and I seemed more alert during the afternoon.
My daughter had fun handing out the WAA-TAH! fake tattoos and decals to some of the kids at the park- the kids liked the cool decal, and their parents were interested in hearing about water that is GOOD for your kids!
I can't wait to find these products in my local store- I definitely prefer giving my daughter water with electrolytes versus gatorade, which has too much sugar and salt.
Check out the WAA-TAH! website : http://www.drinkwataah.com/ for fun acitivites for your kids and more info on their products!
And now the good people at WAA-TAH! want to spread the word by giving one of you my dear readers a back-to-school hydration sample pack of your own!
Included are sample bottles of water, stickers, erasers, pencils and those cool fake tattoos!
