Review/Giveaway/CLOSED: Country Bob's Steak Sauce

In 1968 "Country Bob" Edson perfected his steak sauce recipe, calling it an All Purpose Sauce, because it was more than just a steak sauce. he made it for family and friends and in 1982 Country Bob, Inc. was established, and his famous sauce was able to be sold nationwide.


Along the way Country Bob's has offered their customers the best tasting and highest quality steak sauce (All Purpose Sauce -gluten free), Barbeque Sauce (gluten free), and Seasoning Salt available anywhere in the world.


You can check out all their great products on their site at www.countrybobs.com. It has plenty of great recipes as well. though you may find yourself using it on and in just about anything! 

Country Bob's was kind enough to send me 2 bottles of the All-Purpose Sauce to try. We were impressed with the taste straight from the bottle- sorta reminds you of Bulls Eye BBQ Sauce in a more tart version.


Our first official try with the Sauce was BBQ Chicken breasts (yes, these are the 'steroid breasts' as we like to call them- the chicken they come from must be PRETTY scarry looking!). To be methodical, we tried half with Country Bob's and half with Bulls Eye (out family's preferred BBQ). Looking at the photo, can you tell which is which? 

That's right- you get wonderful slather from Country Bob's JUST like normal BBQ Sauce (oh, BBQ is on top, bob's on the bottom). But looks aren't everything, so onto the taste. WOW- the chicken had a great flavor on the outside and was SUPER moist on the inside! We were really impressed and couldn't wait to try it again!


Our second trial was with some nice hamburger patties (sorry no pix-forgot!). Again we did the empirical test, try with both. And AGAIN, we were astounded with the results! The meat was excellent with a great flavor that made you want to eat every morsel!


Country Bob has WON us over. It won't replace our BBQ sauce (though we are gonna try theIr's, cause you just don;t know til you try it!), BUT we are definitely gonna ad it to the sauces on our table and try out some of their great recipes on their site (that meatloaf if calling my name, BIG TIME).
