As more girls are murdered with no trace of evidence except for the acronym LOL carved on the bones of the victims, Ethan and the Criminal Investigation Team quickly realize that the killer they call the Body Butcher is laughing at them. Unwilling to live with the damage she may have caused, Kate pursues the case on her own and uncovers an unscrupulous ring of body healers turned body stealers, faces her own past, and risks her career to expose the conspiracy—all while putting herself in the path of a demented serial killer.

About the Author: Inspired by a criminal case about an illegal body-parts-harvesting ring, Pamela Callow wrote DAMAGED, the first book in her thriller series for MIRA Books. Pamela drew on her experience working in blue-chip corporate environments, and legal education (she was admitted to the Nova Scotia bar!)  to create series lead Kate Lange. Review: First the really good news- Pam is continuing the Kate Lange series with Indefensible, which is due out  in January AND Tattooed in August 2011, with a 4th planned after that- YEAH!  This book is the very definition of a page-turner! I;ve long since given up on lawyer-turned investigator mysteries, as they all seemed to have the same subplots. NOT this one! This book was SO refreshing and the plot so fast-paced, that you really didn't see the solution coming til the very end-and WHAT a solution! And as you know, I love books like that! I will definitely getting the next 2 books!
