Educational Book Review and Giveaway: School Zone Big Spelling 1-3 (ages 6-9)

Once kiddo started Pre-School I went on a look for activity books and flash cards that we could use at home, to help bolster the education she was receiving at school.

I know with kids at younger ages, repition is key, but kiddo can get bored with that, so if I had different activities than she had in school, we might have better luck. The first activity books I found were by School Zone. Their Pre-School books are really aimed more at ages 4-5, but we were able to work with kiddo on some of the activities even at age 3. Their flash cards have also been helpful for letter memorization and work!

Review: Now obviously kiddo is still in letter recognition and not spelling yet, but we were still able to use the book in other ways. Obviously letter recognition was a key component (ie finding all the a's on the page), as well as counting. Finding the pictures that start with certain letter sounds. We also worked on some of the rhyming pages as well.

As you can see from the sample pages, the activities are FUN, yet really teach the topic at hand! I love that this book is on that can GROW with her and that we can work on different areas as she needs them! And at ONLY $9.99, the book is a bargain!
