Kiddo has been having alot of tantrums the past 2 months and we've been playing detective and trying to root out the sources. We've dealt with the class bully (yes, in PreK-3! The worse part? His parents think he's just "being a boy" - they don't see kicking and hitting the same 4 girls DAILY so that they have bruises as a problem. Luckily the teachers and principals DID see it as a huge problem, and did deal with it! But we also decided that Kiddo has been getting too much sugar in school- instead of flavored water, she's been having juice twice a day, due to her being lactose intolerant, and they let the kids have a good amount of ketchup with their lunches. I'll have a book review coming up, hopefully this weekend, that helped us realize that the extra sugar COULD be the cause of the tantrums. So we made a family resolve to cut back on her sugar this summer and see if that would be of any help as well.
Mom saw in the Walgreen's ad that came out last Sunday, that they had Hawaiian Punch Sugar Free Lemon Berry Singles to Go, on sale for 59 cents PER box. So we thought we'd give it a try for Kiddo, as if she liked it, it would be a way of controlling her sugar intake over the Summer.
If you have kids, you need to head to Walgreen's TODAY , before the sale ends when they close today, and buy as many boxes as you can, as it's only 7 cents per packet!
Why?
1. It taste great! Even the adults loved the taste.
2. It has ONLY 5 calories PER packet, and ZERO sugar. let me repeat that ZERO sugar! This is LESS
than Crystal Light! If your child has one bottle per day, you've cut out a WHOLE lot of sugar out of their diet and you know that's a GREAT thing!
3.You add it to a 16 oz bottle of water, and have an instant flavored drink! Plus you can throw a couple packets in your purse when you head off on adventures this summer and buy (the always cheaper) bottle of water at the zoo, park, museum, and add the packet and have a flavored drink your kids will like, and you don't have to buy them soda! Plus it's better for them. Yeah Mom!
4. You can make it up and freeze it for popsicles. Easy peasy flavored pops- add some strawberry slices and you have gourmet type popsicles.
5. Make some up and you can make some lemonade cake with your kids and amaze them over the summer!
6, If you're on a summer diet, it will be perfect for you as well!
So be the "Mom with the mostest" and run over and pick up some of this great Hawaiian Punch today!

I LOVE the Hawaiian Punch singles - I love Crystal Light ones too. Love that they are low in calories, sugar free, and come in lots of tasty flavors.
