Along with the onslaught of Christmas catalogues, we have Christmas books coming our way. While this book is NOT technically a Christmas book, I think it would be the perfect book to give a young child for Christmas, along with an angel doll to represent Gabby!
I am very happy to be part of the Litfuse Gabby Publicity tour for this wonderful book!
Synopsis: This is the first book of a new series, with a wonderful message—God loves you very much and is always watching over you!

Synopsis: This is the first book of a new series, with a wonderful message—God loves you very much and is always watching over you!
What little girl wouldn’t love her very own guardian angel? Parents and children alike will be won over by this humorous tale of Gabby, a guardian angel in training who has much to learn about taking care of God’s little ones. Her new assignment is to protect a young girl named Sophie, but Gabby soon realizes that watching after Sophie is a bigger challenge than she had expected! After a close call while riding her pony, Sophie learns what the Bible says about guardian angels: “He will put his angels in charge of you. They will watch over you wherever you go” (Psalm 91:11 ICB).
About the Author: Sheila Walsh is the creator of the award-winning Gigi, God's Little Princess brand which has sold over 1.5 million units. About the Illustrator: Marina Fedotova was born in Moscow City, Russia, where she is still living and working today as a professional illustrator. She describes her art as "full of kindness and witty humor." Marina, who was classically trained as a watercolorist, loves adding minute details such as the knit on a woolen scarf or a fluttering butterfly overhead. She is inspired by the puppeteers who make their own dolls and perform locally to her. She, like them, loves to bring her creations to life.
Review: Kiddo ADORED this book from the first reading. She was turning the pages before I could even finish reading the one we were on, as she couldn't wait to see what happened to Gabby! The illustrations are stunning and truly illustrated the story perfectly! They are charming and perfect for the young reader!
The story is one that most young children will be able to relate to, and Kiddo was entranced with the idea of a child guardian angel watching over her! Kiddo liked the idea of angel school, and came to her own conclusion that if the angels do really well, that God will reward them and let them come back to earth. While we've never discussed the idea of reincarnation with her, she is adamant about it and as you know, it's hard to change a 4 year old's mind! This is definitely a book we can send to school for show and tell, story sharing, and one that Kiddo is happy to read over and over!
It will definitely be on our Christmas gift list this year! So I am VERY happy to be able to offer a copy of Gabby to one lucky BTHM reader!
One lucky winner will receive:
