Fall Crafts for Preschoolers
preschool crafting

Working together with your preschooler to make crafts can be fun and memorable. It is the perfect way to teach your little one about the change in seasons and celebrate! These are perfect to make for next week, while the kiddos are home from school!

Leaf Friend

Preparation:
  • Use a die cut for leaves or trace your own.
  • Trace arms and legs on brown construction paper.
  • Allow your preschooler to cut out the leaves, arms and legs (assist as needed).
Materials:
  • construction paper
  • googly eyes
  • scissors
  • glue
  • crayons or markers
  • ribbon or string
Directions:
  1. Glue the stems of the leaves together.
  2. Glue the arms to the back of the top leaf and the legs to the bottom leaf.
  3. Glue googly eyes and draw a nose and mouth with a crayon or marker.
You can add a bow tie or hair bow for personality and glue ribbon to the back so your preschoolers little leaf friend can be hung.

Corn Cob Painting

Materials:
  • 2 or 3 dried corn cobs (corn off) cut in half
  • paper plates (one for each paint color)
  • paint
  • white paint paper or construction paper
Each plate should have one color of paint and one corn cob. Roll the corn cob through the paint and roll across the paper or dip the corn cob to make stamps. This a fun fall paint project that your preschooler can do with little help. When he is finished you have a beautiful fall masterpiece!
