Now I now what you're saying, LDS Music? But think for a second what they really means- beautiful, Christian, music that is SAFE for your kids and you to listen to- no worry about the lyrics being too suggestive, over their age level, or just plain BAD music!

The store features music, songbooks, downloads, sheet music and gifts!

This week is the grand opening of the store and true to the season, I found some LOVELY gift items, that would be wonderful for ANY recipient on your Christmas list! Check them out:

be still
Be Still, A Collection of Hymns by William Joseph- Joseph won his first piano scholarship at age 8, and is is a protege of David Foster. He may look familiar from opening for Josh Groban's "Closer Tour," and for Clay Aiken's "Joyful Noise" tours! While this is a collection of 'LDS' hymns, many of them are played at other faith churches nationwide. The piano music is just flat out stunning and my favorites off the cd are: How Great Though Art, Silent Night, and Be Still My Soul. It is a very delightful cd, that will peace to your heart, mind and soul!

How about an inspirational Christian women's cd?

Arise by Heartlbound more than fulfills that request! heartland's soaring voices will have you humming, then singing along quickly! Many of my favorite Christian songs are on the cd, including I Can Only Imagine, We Are America, old On and the beautiful Ave Maria. Women of God is an anthem for all women's groups! Heartbound have been singing together for more than 20 years, they write their own lyrics and compose their own music, and have released 9 cds, including a Christmas CD with renowned pianist Marvin Goldstein! Lori Hales, Debbie Bastian, and Me'Chel Musgrave are also inspirational speakers!

efy 2009-2011 coverAnd what about for the teens on your list?

Check out EFY- The very Best from 2009-2011 EFY is the Especially For Youth program thru LDS, and this cd featuring performances by Hilary Weeks, Sam Riddle, Stephanie Mabey, and more! This cd has songs like I am His Daughter, No Regrets, I Will and Love Comes Back, that will lend comforting words and wisdom to those going through the turbulent teens. And the music is great too!

celebration of christmas coverIf you are looking for a Christmas cd, then Celebration of Christmas: There Is a Star - BYU Combined Choirs and Orchestra is an amazing one to listen to! Each Christmas season at Brigham Young University over 500 vocalists and instrumentalists celebrate the season in song.
