It started with a simple discovery – people all over the world were mixing Greek yogurt with nutritious foods like granola and fruit to create delicious, protein-packed combinations. So Rickland Orchards took a strained Greek yogurt coating – blended it with roasted nuts, granola and fruit – and transformed it into a convenient, great-tasting snack. They now have 10 great Greek Yogurt Coated Protein Bar flavors, like Apple & Honey and Dark Chocolate and Peanut Butter, to satisfy everyone's tastes!
And then further inspiration struck!
How about a Greek yogurt-covered snack in bite size packs?
A line of Greek Yogurt Covered Bites granola bites, almonds, pretzel bites and strawberry, and caramel bites resulted! The bites make a great lunch, or after school snack for kids, but moms may find herself stealing the bites for herself! Not only are they good for you, they are GREAT tasting!
We were sent 2 of the bites to check out:
Just like the bag says- dark chocolate covers a yummy strawberry center!
You can have 17 (!!!) of the bites and get only 9g of fat and 180 calories! You won't that many though, as they are pretty filling! The chocolate flavor is super rich and you won't even realize you're eating yogurt! As much as we loved the strawberry bites, the hands down favorite was:
We only had one problem- they sorta melted enroute to us on the 90 degree heat:
But that had NO issue with the taste! We just cut off a section and sighed in delight from the first bite! The caramel is so rich and buttery, it is the perfect offset for the dark chocolate! Even Miss Grace declared this combo a hit (and she's not big on dark chocolate!).
The crew at Rickland knows what they are doing when it comes to making YUMMY snacks!
